Registration as an attending or non-attending student at the University of Helsinki 2025-26, first year students

This form is intended for you if you received the right to complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree (or both) at the University of Helsinki through the spring 2025 admissions process.

After accepting a place of study you can use this form to register as an attending or non-attending first year student.

Please note that in order to complete your registration, you must send either the receipt of the Student Union membership fee or documents proving the legal grounds for your absence during your first year of study or both (in case of a half year attendance) to the Admission Services of the University of Helsinki electronically or by mail.

You can find your application number in the email message sent you after submitting your application.

N.B. Don´t forget to send the recept of the payment as an attending student or the document concerning your non-attending status to Admissions Services.

Please send either a copy of the receipt of the Student Union fee or copies of the documents proving the legal grounds for your absence to Admission Services electronically or by mail.

•Please send a copy of the receipt of the Student Union fee as an email attachment to admissions@helsinki.fi. Use the title “Registration: Receipt of the Student Union Membership Fee Payment”.
•If you are sending documents which demonstrate that your non-attendance is based on a statutory reason, please send the documents via encrypted email.
•However, if you are demonstrating by a call-up order that your non-attendance is based on a statutory reason, you can send a copy of the call-up order as an ordinary email attachment to admissions@helsinki.fi.

You can also send the required documents by mail.

Your registration will be processed after Admissions Services has received the required documents.
