In the middle of the AIP conference week, Wednesday afternoon (27 May 2015), there will be an excursion. The excursion prices are included in the conference fee. There are restaurants available in each excursion destination, and participants will have the opportunity to eat (at their own expense).
The seats to Porvoo, Nuuksio and Suomenlinna are fully booked, but you still can visit them with some information below.
The quota for guide tours are fully booked, but you can easily to visit Suomenlinna from Market Square Helsinki with the timetable:

Suomenlinna is a unique historical monument and one of the largest maritime fortresses in the world. It was founded in 1748 and it is located on six islands outside Helsinki's city centre. Suomenlinna is listed as an UNESCO World Heritage site. Its history is closely entwined with that of Finland and the Baltic region. Helsinki can also thank Suomenlinna for its early growth and prosperity.

Nuuksio national park is an unspoilt piece of wilderness in the middle of Helsinki metropolitan area: beautiful valleys, steep ravines, rocks, groves, swamps and over 80 small lakes and ponds. We offer type of hike: normal walking speed, about 5 km length. You need to prepare proper shoes for walking. The tour takes about 1½ hours.
There is also Haltia, a new type of visitor centre, bringing all of Finland’s nature under one roof and closer to the visitor through both the building’s facilities and its stunning exhibitions. Nature from all over Finland can be experienced in the Helsinki region!

We offer one return bus (50 people). You need to were proper shoes for walking, there can be wet places. There can be and most likely is pollen from flowers and trees in the air. So those who are allergic to pollen should take their medicine with them.
The seats are fully booked, but you can easily get to Porvoo by bus from many directions.
From Helsinki there is frequent bus service daily. From the centre of Helsinki the bus trip to Porvoo takes about 50 minutes by the motorway, and from the direction of Lahti, Tampere, Kouvola or Kotka it's not a long trip either. From Helsinki-Vantaa airport you can reach Porvoo in less than an hour by bus.
