You must be at an early-stage on your research career to be eligible to apply.
Early‑stage researcher shall, at the time of recruitment by the host organisation, be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and have not been awarded a doctoral degree. Full-time equivalent research experience is measured from the date when the applicant obtained the degree entitling him or her to embark on a doctorate.
University of Helsinki demands an indication of academic level language skills in English of all applicants. You can prove your English language skills with one of the language tests listed on the university website.
Eligible applicants cannot be permanently employed by the University of Helsinki.
The EU's MSCA programme promotes mobility of researchers and thus sets strict mobility rule for RESDOC applicants. Applicant must not have resided in Finland for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline to be eligible to apply.
Employment contract and doctoral studies require physical presence in Finland to carry out doctoral research. Holidays, secondments and other mobility activities outside Finland are allowed.
