Application for a furnished Unihome studio, International Bachelor’s and Master's degree students, academic year 2026-2027

This application form is for newly accepted Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students who are moving to Finland from abroad.

NOTE!: Please do not fill in this form if you have already applied for a HOAS furnished apartment.

The application period in 2026 begins on the 8th of April 2026.

The deadline for filling in this form is the 15th of May 2026 11.59pm local time (EET).

Complete the form by doing the following steps:

1. Fill out the Personal Details section

2. Select your preferred type of housing (UniHome accomidation studio OR UniHome rental studio) from the menu in the Housing section.

3. Please attach a copy of the email you have received from the University of Helsinki granting the study place. This is your letter of acceptance.

By submitting this form you agree that the information you have filled in this form will be passed on to Unihome.

Housing offers are sent on a first-come first-served basis and it is possible all apartments are reserved before the end of the application period.

After receiving your application Unihome will send you an offer by e-mail. If you accept the offer, you must pay a 500€ deposit by the due date in order to accept the housing offer.

Once the deposit shows on the deposit account of Unihome they will send you a confirmation and an accommodation agreement or lease to sign digitally according to whether you become a resident (accommodation) or tenant (rental).

The housing contract is legally binding for one year starting from August 1st 2026, and early termination is not possible under any circumstance. When you accept the housing offer you agree to pay the rent until the end of the contract, even if you decide to live somewhere else.

It is also not possible to extend the contract beyond one year.

Preferred type of housing

Please note that it is not possible to receive the Kela housing allowance to the accommodation studios, even if you would otherwise be eligible for it (most international students are not).
