Lahden Tiedepäivä 2025 - abstraktipyyntö

Lahden tiedepäivä 13.11.2025 klo 9–16 on kaikille avoin ja maksuton tiedetapahtuma. Sen tarkoituksena on tuoda esille Päijät-Hämeen alueella tai alueesta tehtävän tutkimus- ja kehitystyön tuloksia ja merkitystä alueelle. Tapahtuma on suunnattu suurelle yleisölle, opiskelijoille, korkeakoulujen sidosryhmille ja päijäthämäläiselle tiedeyhteisölle.
Lahden tiedepäivä antaa mahdollisuuden tutustua alueella vaikuttavaan tutkimukseen ja kehittämistyöhön sekä esittää omaa tutkimusta/kehittämistyötä ja sen tuloksia uudenlaiselle kohdeyleisölle. Lisäksi tapahtuma tarjoaa mahdollisuuden verkostoitua alueella.
Lahden tiedepäivä on Päijät-Hämeen suurin monitieteinen tiedetapahtumia. Tapahtuman saavuttaman suosion ja tapahtuman tavoitteiden vuoksi esitysten määrään kiinnitetään tänä vuonna erityistä huomiota. Lahden tiedepäivä on lähitapahtuma, Mukkulankatu 19 tiloissa.
Tapahtuman järjestävät LUT-yliopisto, LAB-ammattikorkeakoulu, Helsingin yliopisto, Haaga-Helia ammattikorkeakoulun Vierumäen kampus ja Päijät-Hämeen hyvinvointialue. Tapahtumaa koordinoi Lahden Yliopistokampus.
Abstrakti: esitys, posteri tai kokonainen sessio
Lahden tiedepäivä ottaa vastaan esitys, - sessio- ja posteritarjouksia abstrakteina. Abstraktissa on tuotava esiin Päijät-Hämeen alueella tehtävän tai alueeseen kohdistuvan tutkimus- ja kehitystyön tuloksia. Alkavaa tai käynnissä olevaa hanketta, joka ei vielä ole tuottanut tuloksia, voi esittää ainoastaan posteriksi.
Abstraktin tulee olla yleistajuinen, ei pelkästään omalle tiedeyhteisölle kirjoitettu.
Suositeltava rakenne: johdanto, tavoitteet, menetelmät/vaiheet, tulokset ja johtopäätökset.
Abstraktin maksimipituus on 2000 merkkiä.
Abstrakteja voi jättää:
- Tieteellinen esitys
Tieteelliselle esitykselle varattu aika on 15 minuuttia + 5 minuutin keskustelu.
- Posteri
Posteri voi olla paperinen tai sähköinen. Posterit kootaan posterinäyttelyyn, jossa ne ovat koko päivän esillä.
- Kokonainen sessio
Yksittäisten esitysten lisäksi tiedepäivään voi tarjota myös kokonaista tieteellistä sessiota sisältöineen. Session pituus on maksimissaan 2 tuntia ja session tarjoaja vastaa session järjestämisestä. Session esitysten tulee noudattaa samaa tiedepäivän esityksille varattua aikataulua (15 min + 5 min. keskustelu/ 1 esitys). Huomaa, että sessiotarjouksen lisäksi jokaisesta session esityksestä tulee lähettää erillinen abstrakti sähköisellä lomakkeella 7.9. mennessä.
Vuoden 2025 Lahden tiedepäivä tarjoaa lisäksi mahdollisuuden tutkijoiden ja yritysten edustajien kohtaamiseen lyhyitä esityksiä sisältävässä matchmaking-sessiossa. Voit ilmoittaa kiinnostuksestasi osallistua sessioon abstraktipyyntöä jättäessäsi.
Abstraktien hyväksyminen:
Lahden tiedepäivän ohjelmaan tarjottujen abstraktien hyväksymisestä vastaa tiedepäivän ohjelmatyöryhmä. Ohjelmatyöryhmä pidättää itsellään oikeuden valintaan alla olevien valintakriteerien mukaan.
Valintakriteerit:
- abstraktissa tuodaan esiin Päijät-Hämeen alueella tehtävän tai alueeseen kohdistuvan tutkimus- ja kehitystyön tuloksia ja/tai abstraktissa selkeästi kerrotaan esiteltävän tutkimuksen merkitys alueelle.
- vain yksi abstrakti/henkilö (kokonaisen session tarjoaja voi jättää esim. omaan sessioon myös abstraktin tieteellisestä esityksestä)
- alkavaa tai käynnissä olevaa hanketta, joka ei vielä ole tuottanut tuloksia, voi esittää ainoastaan posteriksi
Ohjelmatyöryhmä valitsee ohjelmakokonaisuuden kannalta sopivimmat abstraktit, mikäli hakemuksia tulee erityisen runsaasti.
Lähetä abstraktisi tieteellisestä esityksestä, posterista tai sessiosta (suomeksi tai englanniksi)
viimeistään 7.9.2025 käyttäen sähköistä lomaketta. Tieto abstraktiehdotusten hyväksymisestä ilmoitetaan sähköpostitse 23.9.2025 mennessä.
Huomioitahan, että emme voi vastaanottaa myöhästyneitä abstrakteja.

The Lahti Science Day 2025
Call for Abstracts
The Lahti Science Day will be organized on the 13th of November 2025 from 9 am to 4 pm. The science event is free and open to all. The event purpose is to highlight research and development results and significance in or about the Päijät-Häme region. The aimed audience consists of the scientific community in Päijät-Häme, university stakeholders, students, and the general public.
The Lahti Science Day will provide an opportunity to learn about the research and development in the region as well as present your own research or development and its results to a new audience. The event will also provide an opportunity for networking.
The annually organized Lahti Science Day is the biggest multidisciplinary science event for the general public in the Päijät-Häme region. Due to the popularity of the event and its objectives, special attention will be paid to the number of presentations. The event will take place on-site only, at Mukkulankatu 19, Lahti.
The event is organised by the LUT University, the University of Helsinki, the LAB University of Applied Sciences, the Vierumäki Campus of the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, and the Päijät-Häme Joint Authority for Health and Wellbeing. The Lahti University Campus coordinates the event organization.
Abstract: Presentation, Poster or Full Session
The Lahti Science Day 2025 calls for proposals for scientific presentations and sessions as well as posters. The proposed presentation should be aimed at general public and not for the scientific community only. In addition, the abstract should clearly explicate the proposed presentation’s or poster’s connection to the Päijät-Häme region, for example, by highlighting the research or the development work results’ significance for Päijät-Häme. Note, that a project still pending results can be presented as a poster only.
Recommended abstract structure consists of an introduction, objectives, methods or steps, results, and conclusions. The maximum length of the abstract is 2000 characters.
We are looking for proposals for:
1. Scientific Presentation
The time reserved for the scientific presentation is 15 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion.
2. Poster
Both paper and electronic posters, which will be accepted, will be displayed at a poster exhibition all day.
3. Full Session
Full scientific sessions, taking maximum 2 hours, can be proposed for the event. The session schedule must fit with the general event schedule consisting of presentations of 15 minutes + 5 minutes of discussion. The session convenors are responsible for full session organization. Note, that a separate abstract of each session presentation must be submitted using the electronic form by September 7, 2025, in addition to the session proposal.
The Lahti Science Day 2025 will also offer a matchmaking session, where researchers and company representatives will have the opportunity to briefly present their activities and seek partnerships. You can inform of your interest in participating the session as you submit your abstract.
Approval of Proposals
The approval of the proposed abstracts is the responsibility of the Lahti Science Day steering group. The steering group reserves the right to select abstracts according to the following selection criteria:
- The proposal’s connection to the Päijät-Häme region is clearly explicated in the abstract. The proposed presentation/poster/session must concern results of a research or a development work carried out in the region, or, it must be directed at the region. - No more than one presentation proposal per person can be accepted. However, the session convenors proposing a full session can also submit a proposal for a scientific presentation or a poster. - Ongoing projects pending results can be accepted as posters only.
Use the online form to send your proposal in Finnish or English by September 7, 2025. The event organizers will inform on the acceptance by e-mail by September, 23, 2025.
Note, that we cannot accept abstracts sent late.
