Lecture Request

With this form, you can ask us career counsellors for a guest lecture or other support for your course.

 What is this about?

With this form, you can ask us career counsellors for a guest lecture or other support for your course.*

Submit the request at least two months before the desired date (e.g. a specific lecture on a course). Nb: Requests for the 1st teaching period of the acedemic year must be submitted by June 15 at the latest.

As a rule, we visit one course once (max twice when resources allow, if there is a special need for it). Please encourage your students to attend the lecture. As the responsibility for the course lies with the degree programme and the course teacher, we ask that you also attend yourself.

We will process your request in a team and contact you as soon as possible (within about two weeks at the latest). Unfortunately, we may not be able to comply with all requests even if they are submitted within the deadline.

Please note that the method of implementation may be other than a guest lecture or speech by a career counsellor. We can work with you to look at the implementation format that best supports the learning outcomes of the course, taking into account the available resources and the course as a whole. For example, we can make use of our online materials, such as career planning assignments that you can easily integrate into teaching, self-study assignments tailored to students, career readiness self-assessment tools, webinars and podcasts:

* We are happy to support you in curriculum design or planning courses! If you need a brainstorming or sparring partner for more long-term design cooperation, send a free-form message to careerguidance@helsinki.fi.

Regards
