Studies Service user survey 2025

Welcome to respond to the Studies Service user survey!

The survey has three parts:

  • In the first part we ask you to evaluate the Studies Service (studies.helsinki.fi), which brings together the digital tools, services, and content for students and those interested in studying.
  • In the second part, we ask you to respond a few general questions on student communications at the University.
  • The third part comprises of questions related to the calendar functions in the Studies Service and Sisu.

The collected information will be used to improve communication and services. In the open-ended responses, it's helpful to describe as concretely as possible what you think is currently working well and what kind of improvements you would like to see.

If you wish to enter the prize draw, you can leave us your contact details at the end of the survey. Your contact details will not be linked to your answers to the survey.

The survey closes on November 23 at 23.59.

Thank you for participating!

 PART 2: STUDENT COMMUNICATIONS

 Bulletins in the Studies Service

The front page of the Studies Service is the university’s main channel for current communication related to studies.
On the front page, you’ll find the latest news and bulletins, upcoming events, and lunch menus. In addition to the front page, the latest bulletins can also be found on the landing pages of the Instructions section of the service.
Please evaluate the following statements (1 = strongly disagree, 5 = strongly agree)

The bulletins contain useful information for me:

 Faculty student mailing lists

Faculty student email lists (such as arts-info-list, bio-info-list, law-info-list, medicine-info-list, etc.) and the doctoral school email list (uhds-researchers) are, alongside the Studies Service, the most important channels for general student communication.
All basic degree students and exchange students who have registered as attending are automatically added to the faculty lists at the beginning of each semester. New doctoral students are automatically added to the doctoral school's mailing list.
Please evaluate the following statements (1 = strongly disagree, 5 = strongly agree)

It is a good thing that I am automatically added to the lists:
I would like to have the option to unsubscribe from the list if I wish:

 Social media

Student communication is primarily carried out through the University’s own internal channels. The reason for this is that we want all students to have equal opportunities to follow university communications. You never need to join any social media platform just to receive information related to your studies.

However, we know that many students would like to see more study-related content on the university’s social media channels.
If you follow the university on social media, let us know what kind of study-related content you would most like to see!
I follow the University of Helsinki on one or several social media platforms:
