Documentation of teaching qualifications - Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry / Opetusansioiden lomake - maatalous-metsätieteellinen tiedekunta

The Teaching Skills Committee of the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry assesses teaching skills based on the applicant's description of teaching merits and experience as well as the teaching demonstration lecture. Teaching skills will be assessed using a matrix designed for the purpose: Teaching skills matrix

Maatalous-metsätieteellisen tiedekunnan opetustaitotoimikunta arvioi opetustaitoa hakijoiden opetusansioiden kuvauksen sekä opetusnäytteen perusteella. Opetustaitoa arvioidaan  tiedekunnan opetustaitomatriisin avulla: opetustaitomatriisi

1) Lue opetustaitomatriisi ennen kuin täytät opetusansiolomakkeen.

1.1. How much have you taught and in what environments? 

Please list clearly:
1) the names of courses you have taught
2) what was your role in each course (e.g. the main responsible teacher, visiting lecturer or something else)
2) how many credits each course was worth (e.g. 5 ECTS)
3) the level of the courses (e.g. BSc, MSc)
4) the educational organization where you taught the course (e.g. university, other higher education institution)

1) What broader teaching responsibilities have you had (e.g., planning course programmes, coordinating courses)?

3) the scope of training (hours and credits, 1 cr = 27 hrs)
4) the year when you completed the course

• What is your teaching philosophy?
• How would you describe your pedagogical thinking? 
• What do you consider important in your teaching and why?
• How would you describe the roles of the teacher and the student in university teaching?
• How do you wish to develop as a teacher?

3.1. Production of teaching materials

1) What kinds of teaching material (printed, digital, etc.) have you produced for your own use and for the Finnish or international community of teachers in your field?
2) Please also list the courses in which you have used the materials in question.

3.2. Use of learning materials

• How do you use teaching and learning material in your teaching?
• How do you use digital learning material and environments in your teaching?

 4. Other teaching merits

4.1. Participation in curriculum design and educational administration

Describe other merits that substantiate your teaching expertise.
Examples:
• Directorship of a degree programme, membership in a steering group
• Participation in the drafting of documents guiding teaching (e.g., curricula, modules, student admissions)
• Expert duties related to teaching (e.g., membership in a teaching skills committee or board of a study programme)
