The University of Helsinki Institute of Urban and Regional Studies, Urban Academy and Science Advice Initiative of Finland Sofi will organise a webinar “How to impact wisely” on making research-based policy recommendations on Monday 23 November 9:00–10:30 a.m. (Unfortunately, the webinar will be held in Finnish, but there will be a summary and other materials in English after the event)
All researchers’ thoughts and experiences on making policy recommendations are extremely valuable for discussion and development.
That is why we are inviting all researchers at the University of Helsinki to share their experiences by responding to the attached survey. By responding to the survey, researchers can also effect the topics covered in the webinar that will be held on 23 November.
Please submit your answers by the 18th of November.
Webinar participants:
Deputy Mayor Nasima Razmyar, City of Helsinki Professor Mari Vaattovaara, University of Helsinki Professor Heikki Hiilamo, University of Helsinki Professor Eeva Furman, Finnish Environment Institute Science Specialist Antti Pelkonen, Prime Minister's Office
Responding to the survey is anonymous and all collected data is used for developing processes and training related to making policy recommendations within the University of Helsinki and in the Sofi project.
Policy recommendations refer to recommended measures targeted at municipal, national or international decision making formulated by researchers on the basis of research findings.
